Soll das Spritzteil weitere bereits bearbeitete Teile aufnehmen, ist die Verwendung von Einlegeteilen im Werkzeug die zuverlässigste Form, da so das vorbearbeitete Teil zur Fixierung komplett mit Kunststoff umhüllt wird. Wenn wir Spritzgussteile benötigen, die zwei Arten von Leistung enthalten oder unterschiedliche Materialien einfärben, um ein spezielles Erscheinungsbild oder bestimmte Verwendungsanforderungen zu erfüllen, verwenden wir auch die Methode, eines der Materialien zuerst zu formen und es dann zusammen in die Spritzgussform eines anderen Materials zu legen. Tatsächlich ist das Zweifarben- oder Mehrfarben-Spritzgießen im Grunde die Anwendung dieses Prinzips. Der erste Teil davon wird als Kunststoffeinsatz bezeichnet.
