Today, Ali, Danniel, and Emily from Tobii Dynavox made a special trip to our Grandshine factory. Before visit in person, we had already held several rounds of video conference with strategic discussions. Today, Tobii team visited our factory to engage in in-depth discussions with our engineering team on a meaningful topic: developing superior protection solutions for Tobii Dynavox AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices.

About Grandshine

First, a brief introduction to ourselves: Grandshine is a company specializing in custom molds and protective solutions for electronic products. We have expertise experience in precision mold design, structural protection and durability optimization. We are dedicated to providing reliable, safe and highly adaptable protective solutions for all types of electronic devices. We have already provided professional product protection solutions for companies from global leader such as United Airlines, JetBlue, and T-Mobile.

Our Mission with Tobii Dynavox

As for Tobii Dynavox, it is a company we deeply admire. Their mission has always been to provide augmentative and alternative communication solutions for patients with conditions such as ALS, cerebral palsy, and autism, reclaim those who cannot speak a “their own voice” once again. This made us even more interested in this collaboration, as we have always hoped our products could make a small contribution meaningfully to society through our craftsmanship.

We are honored to integrate Grandshine’s expertise in protective solutions into such a meaningful cause. Through extensive dialogue with Ali, Danniel and Emily, we gained a profound understanding of the challenges associated with the practical use of these devices, specifically, how children with autism interact with their AAC products and the various challenges they face during use. These AAC devices require protective solutions that are more durable, safer and better suited for daily use by people with special needs.

Engineering Excellence & DFM Analysis

Our engineering team provided Tobii Dynavox with professional advice and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis. We conducted a comprehensive pros-and-cons evaluation of various material combinations for protective cases, such as PC, ABS, PC+TPU, silicone, silicone+PC, and silicone+metal to finalize the most effective protective solution for their unique requirements, ultimately delivering a suitable protective solution for Tobii’s products.

Additionally, Tobii team also toured our mold making, plastic injection molding, assembly line and silicone production facilities. They expressed satisfaction with our production and quality management systems and encouraged us to establish a long-term, strategic partnership.
